President MAZAR at the Center for International Action: Migration, Technology and Dialogue

Wednesday September 20 and Thursday September 21, 2023 promise to be important days for President MAZAR and the Office of Migration and Stability of Continental Agreements (OMSAC). The events on the program cover a wide range of topics from irregular migration to technological innovation, demonstrating the continued commitment to global solutions and constructive international dialogues.

Wednesday September 20, 2023

On Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m., President MAZAR will go to the Maison de la Paix, a symbolic location for international meetings in Geneva. There he will chair an exceptional meeting bringing together the directors of several European and international organizations. The main objective of this meeting will be to discuss the report resulting from the investigation carried out by two working groups between January 10 and September 8, 2023 on the problem of illegal migration. This report is the result of long-term work which involved active collaboration between the different stakeholders.

This document, which promises to be a key element in the search for solutions to deal with illegal migration, will be handed over by the President of OMSAC to Mr. Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, during the meeting which will take place in the afternoon at the headquarters of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. This step is crucial to ensure that the report's recommendations reach international bodies and can contribute to informed decision-making in the management of migration issues.

Between two meetings, at 12:30 p.m., President MAZAR will have the honor of being the guest of honor at the opening of the SWISS IT Forum(s) in Geneva. This major event is an opportunity to bring together technology experts, business leaders and solution providers from around the world. The Swiss IT Forum(s) position themselves as an essential exchange platform in French-speaking Switzerland and are one of the largest national events dedicated to IT.

This event is also a modern reflection of the current challenges facing IT and business management. It aims to be unifying, operational and pragmatic, offering an exceptional opportunity to share innovative ideas, discuss current technological issues and discover new solutions.

The Swiss IT Forum(s) offers a rich program, including

- Pre-scheduled 1 to 1 business meetings thanks to an exclusive matchmaking system.

- An afterwork event to encourage connectivity and informal discussions.

In addition to President MAZAR, OMSAC will be duly represented throughout the two days of the forum by its Head of the High Technology Department, Mr. François AUBRIOT. This participation demonstrates OMSAC's commitment to technological innovation as a means of addressing contemporary challenges, including migration management.

Following the opening ceremony of this major international event, we look forward to discovering the discussions and conclusions that will emerge, which will undoubtedly contribute to shaping a more promising future, both in migration management and in the field of technology.
